Are you alone on Christmas?

If you have chanced upon this post, then you are not alone. The King is visiting you tonight. He is here with you. The King of this universe has marked you. Blessed are you, my child!

Alone but not lonely…

I recall that the first time I understood the pain of loneliness was when I was a little child on the eve of Christmas. You see, there’s a great age gap between my siblings and I, in the range of 6 to 12 years. They were in their teenage years when I was only 7 years old. They were all out partying, but I was all alone at home, wishing I can grow up quickly to attend Christmas parties like my siblings.

However, when I grew up, I discovered that some of the most painful times of my life is to be in a party but rejected and feeling out of place. In fact, in the show World’s Greatest Dad, where Robin Williams as Lance Clayton stated :

“I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone. It’s not. The worst thing in life is ending up with people who make you feel all alone.”

In fact, when we build the foundation of our happiness on people and events — when we believe that we can only be happy when we find someone who love us, or that happiness comes when we are in a party with people who accept and adore us, then we have actually given the key to the devil to have a way to bring sadness and all sorts of painful deceits into our life. The truth is, no one can bring us true happiness, forever.

Yet, the truth is, true happiness that will last forever comes from knowing the King, the Creator of this universe. He is the LORD of heaven’s armies. He is your white knight who loves you with all His heart, who will never fail nor disappoint you, who always lavish you richly because of His immense love for you. When you have Him, you may be physically alone but in reality, you are not alone. You can appear to be alone but you will never be lonely.

In fact,  Christmas is all about His love and what He had done for you.

The Prince hears you

Today, I would like to tell you about a handsome and almighty Prince, Jesus. Though He is the Son of God, He is full of love and compassion. When the disciples met with a storm in the sea, Jesus was so tired and was asleep. The loud thunder and waves could not wake Jesus but the cries of His disciples woke Him and He woke up to calm the sea. What do you think, the King of kings who has authority over the sea and waves, hears your cries?

The Prince seeks you.

In the story of The Samaritan Woman, we read that Jesus went to wait for her to give her the Living Water (representing the Holy Spirit) so that she will never thirst again. In Luke 20:10, Jesus said He came to seek and save the lost.

In Isaiah 61, it is stated that Jesus came to proclaim good news to the poor, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives, and release from darkness those who are oppressed.

If you are alone and lonely, Jesus will rush to you.

Jesus has paid the price

In Isaiah 61:3, we read that Jesus came to comfort those who mourn, to give them a crown of beauty instead of ashes,
festive oil instead of mourning, and splendid clothes instead of despair. For all these to happen, Jesus, though the Son of God, the Prince of heaven, had to suffer all kinds of accusations and abuse by the people He created. He was slapped, humiliated, scourged and crucified so that He can pay the price of our sins and we can be set free and become a child of God to enjoy every heavenly blessings.

Jesus loves you and lives in you. You are not alone.

In John 10:18, Jesus said no one has the power to take His life. He chose to lay down His life so that we can live a satisfying life. He did all these because He loves us immensely. When you believe in Jesus, He lives in you and you are in Him as promised in John 14:23:

And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever. (John 14:16)

Jesus replied,“All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them. (John 14:23)

My child, when you have Jesus, you have every heavenly blessings –love, joy, peace, success, protection, prosperity, good health, wisdom, every good gifts. You have peace that the world cannot give.  Like the Samaritan woman who had had five husband, Jesus promised that when she has the Living Water, she will never thirst again. So when you have Jesus. you may be alone physically, you are not alone. You will be so filled with joy when you meditate on His love and the power that you have as a believer. You will not be lonely.

If you are feeling lonely at this moment, may I invite you to meditate on this truth — that Jesus loves you so much that He is with you right now. He loves you. Think about His love.

Would you like to receive Jesus?

If you would like to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you can say this prayer:

Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. I believe You are the Son of God and You came to save me so that I can be set free to live an abundant and victorious life. A life filled with love, joy, peace, good health, success and every kind of blessings. I invite you right now into my life, as Lord and Saviour. I pray that you fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I may live a victorious life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
