This verse is taken from Psalm 18, a Psalm of David who spoke to the LORD the words of this song on the day that the LORD delivered him from the hand of his enemies and from the hand of Saul. This same song is also recorded in 2 Samuel 22. I am a firm believer that the bible is God-breathed. It is God’s words. When something is repeated, it has its significance. If you read 2 Samuel 21:15-22, just before David spoke the words of this song to the LORD, David was facing intense battle, fighting giants one after another. In 2 Samuel 21:15, it was stated that David grew faint. He was so weak that he could have been killed. Time and again, he was facing a losing situation.
