Hidden Love Letter in Genesis 1

Genesis 1 tells us of the sovereignty of our Almighty God, Creator of Heavens and Earth. However, do you know that embedded within Genesis 1 is the immense love of God for us? In fact, if you research into science, you will understand how perfect and unwaivering God’s love is for you and you will begin to see Genesis 1 as God’s hidden love letter to you.

Here’s what is hidden in the love letter in Genesis 1

1. Genesis 1:1-5 – God had loved us for billions of years. His love is steadfast, unwaivering.

Genesis 1:1-19 tells us how God began preparing the universe, the Sun, the Earth, the Moon and the Stars.  Base on scientific discovery, the universe began with a Big Bang explosion some 13.8 billion years ago and the Sun and Earth took 4.6 billion years to form and reach its present day stability. If God could wait for billions of years for the universe, the Sun and the Earth to be ready before He could make us, how great do you think God’s love is for us?

2. Genesis 1:6-19 – God intricately created everything out of His immense love for us

The air around us that we cannot see forms the atmosphere around the Earth. Yet this invisible layer is top in God’s creation list (Genesis 1:6) because in it contains the Oxygen that is needed for our survival. The atmosphere also protects us from radiation from the Sun and the stars. The air molecules in the atmosphere scatters the sunlight so we can see a beautiful sky. At night, when there is no sunlight, God knows that we will be fearful. So He placed trillions of stars to give us the beautiful night sky (Genesis 1:14-19).

After the atmosphere, God created the plants. Not only are plants a source of food, they also give us Oxygen through a process called Photosynthesis. A process that we cannot even see with our naked eyes but is so vital to us. If you look at your body, you will realise that God has so intricately created you so that you can function so perfectly. Yet many processes taking place within you are not seen nor understood even by doctors.

3. Genesis 1:9-13, 20-26, 29-30 – God’s plan was for mankind to enter this world with no lack

If you examine the order of creation, you will notice that Adam and Eve were last to be created. Why? The reason is simpy because mankind is created to be God’s children (Hebrews 2:14, Acts 17:29,NIV). God loves mankind and just like a new parent getting the baby room cleaned and buying the bed, blankets, baby clothings and milk bottles long before the baby is borned, God intricately prepared the whole Earth and the universe around it to be ready before He made Adam and Eve. So that they entered this world with no lack.

4. Genesis 1:26-28 – God created a kingdom for us to inherit

In Genesis 1:26-28, we read that God blessed Adam and Eve to be the master to rule over all of God’s creation. In other words, Adam has a kingdom to inherit. A kingdom he did not have to build. He was made in God’s image, to be God’s child. He was God’s heir.

Can you see how much God loves Adam and Eve? This is how much God loves you.

You have more than what Adam and Eve had when you believe in Jesus

When Adam sinned and the whole world became cursed (Genesis 3:17), God sent His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem mankind. So that whosoever believes and receives Jesus, all their sins are forgiven, forever. So, if you are a believer of Jesus, the Holy Spirit of God can live in you, forever (John 14:16). You are blessed with every spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3) because the Holy Spirit of God lives in you.

With Christ’s finished work on the cross, what it meant is that whatever blessings was bestowed on Adam has now been restored to us, and even much more (Romans 5:17). Not only does God want us to live a life filled with love and honor, He wants us to live a life of freedom, a life filled with authority and power.

If you are not yet a believer, you can become a believer right now by praying this prayer to receive Jesus as your LORD and Saviour:

“Dear LORD Jesus, thank you for Your love for me. You are the Creator of this universe, yet You love me so much  to die on the cross for my sins so that I can be made right with God and be able to live a satisfying and fulfilled life that God has designed for me, to enjoy God’s riches in glory. Right now, I pray that You come into my life and be my LORD and Saviour. From this time forth, I am a new creation, all my sins are forgiven and I no longer live under the power of sin. I pray that You fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I can live a victorious life. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.”

If you have prayed the above prayer, you have been saved. You are now a child of God. Look for a church near your place and start walking with Jesus. You will find yourself walking a journey of great joy, blessings, peace  and power to overcome every bondage in your life.
