You are abundantly supplied

The Lord is my shepherd;
    there is nothing I lack.

Psalms 23:1 (NABRE)

It pleases God greatly to provide for you

When you read Genesis Chapter 1, did you notice that Adam and Eve were last to be created? Why?

The reason is because God’s plan was to have man entering into this world celebrating with God all His creation. Just like a good parent welcoming a new born baby into their lives. They love the baby and long before the baby is borned, they prepared their home so that all that the baby needs (bed, pillows, blankets, clothing, milk bottles, and more..) are ready even before their child is born.

In the same way, God created everything before He created mankind so that Adam and Eve could enter into this world with no lack.

In fact, it pleases God greatly to provide for us. If you are a parent, you will understand how happy you feel when you feed your child.

If you are a believer of Jesus, you are a child of God. Never allow yourself to live in fear of the future, to worry how you are going to pay your bills. You must know that God knows your bank accounts, your debts, your unbilled transactions and your cashflows better than you do. He alone knows what lies ahead and what are your future needs. He will provide. He will never fail you.

Read what Jesus said about GOd’s provision:

While writing this post, I thought of listing out true stories of how God has provided for people. However, being a person who had walked through times of worrying about not having enough, and having experienced how much our heavenly Father had always planned ahead and provided for me, I believe the best way to write an article on God’s provision is to let God’s Words speak to you directly, so that you receive first hand the promises from God Himself.

My child, even in times when you thought you may not have enough, know that your heavenly Father has already made provisions for you, He knows all your needs.

So, let’s read what Jesus said when He walked on earth. When Jesus began His ministry, right from His first sermon recorded in the book of Matthew, this is what Jesus said:

Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are? Can all your worries add a single moment to your life?

Matthew 6:26-27 (NLT)

Our LORD Jesus reinforced the same message with another example:

And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

Matthew 6:30 (NLT)

Then again, He emphasized the same message by telling us to keep asking:

“You parents—if your children ask for a loaf of bread, do you give them a stone instead?  Or if they ask for a fish, do you give them a snake? Of course not!  So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.

Matthew 7:30 (NLT)

Did you notice that in Matthew 6:26, our LORD Jesus revealed to us that God is our Father. In the following verses, Jesus revealed that our heavenly Father already knows all our needs before we ask Him:

Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

Matthew 6:8 (NKJV)

Our LORD Jesus repeated this message here:

These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.

Matthew 6:32-33 (NLT)

Let’s read  Matthew 6:32-33 in TLB translation:

“So don’t worry at all about having enough food and clothing. Why be like the heathen? For they take pride in all these things and are deeply concerned about them. But your heavenly Father already knows perfectly well that you need them,  and he will give them to you if you give him first place in your life and live as he wants you to.

“So don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time.

Matthew 6:32-33 (TLB)

In the account where Jesus did the miracle of feeding more than 5000 people with just five loaves of bread and two fishes, the people came searching for Jesus the following day.  When Jesus saw them seeking him, He told them to seek the eternal life that only He can give:

Jesus replied, “The truth of the matter is that you want to be with me because I fed you, not because you believe in me.  But you shouldn’t be so concerned about perishable things like food. No, spend your energy seeking the eternal life that I, the Messiah, can give you. For God the Father has sent me for this very purpose.”

They replied, “What should we do to satisfy God?”

Jesus told them, “This is the will of God, that you believe in the one he has sent.”

John 6:27-29 (TLB)

A few verses following the above verses, our LORD Jesus said this:

Jesus replied, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. But you haven’t believed in me even though you have seen me.  However, those the Father has given me will come to me, and I will never reject them.

John 6:35-37 (NLT)

As you read the above scriptures, I pray that the Holy Spirit will give you the assurance and peace so that your faith will arise and you know you have received the promises said by our LORD Himself. His words will not return to Him void. When you believe the words that Jesus said, those words will manifest in miracles in your life because they cannot return to Christ not accomplishing their objectives (Isaiah 55:11).

Christ was made poor so that you can be rich

When God first created mankind, God did not intend for mankind to labour and toil. Every good thing was created for mankind, even before mankind was created. However, when Adam and Eve believed the serpent, thinking that God would ever withhold any “good” fruit from them, they sinned and came under the curse in Genesis 3:17. Since then, mankind had to labour and toil.

However, God loves us so much that He sent His one and only beloved Son,  Jesus Christ to come and die for us and save us. In fact, Christ did not come just so that we live forever. He came to suffer so that we can enjoy our lives and live a rich and satisfying life (John 10:10). Jesus came to break the curses and to restore us so that we have much more blessings than what Adam and Eve first had. This restoration meant that we will be fully provided, abundantly supplied, till it overflows to others. Read the following scripture where apostle Paul revealed that Christ was made poor so that we can be rich:

For you are becoming progressively acquainted with and recognizing more strongly and clearly the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ (His kindness, His gracious generosity, His undeserved favor and spiritual blessing), [in] that though He was [so very] rich, yet for your sakes He became [so very] poor, in order that by His poverty you might become enriched (abundantly supplied).

2 Corinthians 8:9 (AMPC)

Our LORD Jesus left His throne in heaven, left all His riches, to come to this world, borned in a manger, to be the son of a carpenter. He lived a life of poverty on Earth so that we can live a life of true prosperity. Christ’s work is finished and we are redeemed.

My child,  I believe that you do not land on this page by chance. The LORD is speaking to you, affirming you that He has already made all the plans and provisions for you. You are abundantly supplied. Do not allow any thoughts that your difficult situation now is a result of some sins you have committed and God is punishing you. Remember that Jesus’ blood cleanses all your sins once and for all. You are forever forgiven. Forever without a single fault (Colossians 1:22).  Cling on to Jesus. If you have done wrong, confess your sins and know that Christ is faithful and just to forgive you all your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).  Believe that God loves you even when you have done wrong and remain in Jesus’ love (John 15:9). If you stay joined to Jesus and His words remain in you, you can ask any request and it will be granted (John 15: 7).

This is my prayer for all who read this post:

“Dear heavenly Father, I pray for the person reading this post. I pray that You open up heaven’s gates and pour forth so much blessings on this person so that every needs in his/her life is abundantly supplied till he/she can be a blessing to provide for others. It is a gift from You, because of your grace. It is not a result of human’s good work, so that for all who experience this miracle will know that You are the LORD and will give all glory to You. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen.”

If you are not yet a believer, you can pray this prayer to receive Jesus into your life:

“Dear LORD Jesus,  I believe you are the Son of God and that you love me so much that you left your throne in Heaven to come into this world to suffer on my behalf. You chose to die for my sins so that I can be set free from a life of poverty, pain, defeat and bondages of sins. I pray that You come into my life and be my LORD and Saviour. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that I can lead a victorious life. I believe that from this moment on, I am a new creation. Help me to walk with you each day so that I am able to enjoy the rich and satisfying life that God had planned for me when He formed me. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”

If you have said the above prayer, you are born again by the Holy Spirit. Write down this date so that you will never forget this new birthday. You are now a child of God, you are a new creation. You have the Kingdom of heaven to inherit. You have a new life, you are called a Christian. Look for a church near you, start reading the bible everyday and walk with Jesus. You can turn to Jesus with all your cares and worries. He is with you always and He will guide you.  You will be amazed as you walk this new journey.
