This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
Joshua 1:8

The bible says all scripture is God breathed. (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The bible is not like any ordinary book. It is God’s Words. There is power, provision, protection and all heavenly blessings when we simply read and meditate in it. Psalm 1:2-3 and Jeremiah 17:8 describes the blessings of a person who meditates on God’s words and put their trust in Him. Such a man is described as like a tree planted by the river, whose leaves will never wither and who will bring forth fruits in its seasons.
There is power in God’s Words
Reading the bible is like “connecting to heaven’s wifi”, the Holy Spirit that lives in us who have accepted Lord Jesus speaks to us in our mind and heart. We may not hear an audible voice thundering from the sky, but will hear the gentle whisper in our heart and mind. The “gentle whisper” describe in 1 Kings 19:12. It is a voice only we can understand what He is saying and we know it is our Lord’s voice. Our Lord Jesus said, we are His sheep and we hear His voice (John 10:27).
Your good success comes by trusting that Jesus loves you
No one has been successful in keeping the law. Paul said “for if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die. (Galatians 2:21) The good news is that as Christians, we are believers of Christ Jesus, who has died for our sins and fully paid the price for us. We are therefore not made right by obeying the laws but we are made right because of our faith in Christ (Galatians 2:16). As a result of Christ’s finished works on the cross, who has fulfilled the laws for us, we are now children of God. We have received God’s Holy Spirit and now can call God “Abba Father” (Romans 8:15). So, do not force or discourage yourself or anyone about the laws. Read this scripture written by Paul:
18Rather, I am a sinner if I rebuild the old system of law I already tore down. 19For when I tried to keep the law, it condemned me. So I died to the law—I stopped trying to meet all its requirements—so that I might live for God. 20My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:18-20, NLT).
Instead, recognize that we are now children of the LORD Most High, we are princes and princesses of the Heavenly Kingdom whom God loves deeply and are highly favored. We are assured of all heavenly blessings (Ephesians 1:3) and power (Ephesians 1:19-20) because we have God’s Holy Spirit living in us (Romans 8:11). The Holy Spirit of God will help us overcome all our weaknesses, and lead us to good success.
