Get to know God

The Spirit of God

If you do a search, Genesis 41:38, is the 3rd mention of the Spirit of God but it is the first time it is mentioned that the Spirit of God dwells in a man. The Spirit of God was with Joseph and he receives interpretation of dreams and wisdom from God. In the book of Daniel, we see the same thing happened to Daniel too, who served 5 generation of Babylonian kings.

Believers of Jesus, do you know that because of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for us, we are forgiven of all our sins and the Holy Spirit of God lives in us forever (John 14:16)? This means that we have all every spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3). So, just as we see that Joseph wisdom, interpretations and success in everything he did, we who have the same Holy Spirit of God, the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, it means that wisdom, success, and every spiritual blessings are our inheritance.

Why such a long wait

Genesis 41:1, the first verse of this chapter stated that it was the end of 2 full years. Why didn’t God let Pharaoh had his dreams earlier? Why did Joseph had to suffer innocently for 2 years.

I believe the LORD was preparing Joseph, enabling him to gain in knowledge of the running of Egypt. While the prison was a terrible place, that was the place where the king’s prisoners were bound (Genesis 39:20). That was the place where Joseph would meet people who had served the Pharaoh and through those 2 years, he would have gained much knowledge through his interactions with them.

What is faith?

Faith is not believing in the impossible. Faith is believing that God’s love for us is perfect and this perfect love will not allow any evil to happen to us. Faith is believing that the great love God has for us will propel Him to perform miracles to bless us.

Are you wondering…

How to become a believer?

You can be a believer simply by saying this prayer:

Dear God, thank you for so wonderfully make me and thank you for sending your Son, LORD Jesus to die for me so that I can have the blessed life that you intended for me — a life of leadership and fruitfulness. Now I believe and accept Jesus as my LORD and Saviour. I believe that from this time forth, I am a new creation, I am born again and I have the eternal life that Jesus came to give me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
